[ Dice drops that bit of information, and Gentaro forgets to breathe. It's everything Dice is doing--that gentle touch, that look, and what he says--

His throat suddenly feels tight. Dice really has done a number on him. He's a storm, a force of nature that can't be held down, and Gentaro loves that about him. But these moments--Gentaro's in the eye of it all, and he never wants to leave. ]

Dice, [ he murmurs, once he's able to form words. ] How can you scare me when I trust you so much?

[ It's open, vulnerable. Gentaro trails his fingers along Dice's cheek, jaw, up to push the hair out of his eyes. He doesn't think he could ever stop touching Dice, now that their feelings are all but spoken. ]

Besides... I'm sure my dream self won't be bothered. If he is, I shall simply have to give him a stern talking-to.

[That tone is unexpected, and maybe the prettiest sound Dice has ever heard. He wants to remember it, so much so that he squeezes his eyes shut like shutting off a sense might capture it if he's fast enough.

When he opens them again, they're bright and adoring, completely vulnerable on Dice's part as well.]

Maybe the dream one's gonna get a hell of a lot more real now.

[His voice drops, quiet and almost raspy. Like he's a little afraid of something for the first time in a long time.]

Am I dreamin'?

[ Gentaro isn't sure he's ever been looked at like that. That it's Dice-- that makes it even more precious, more heartwrenching in the sweetest way.

He looks at Dice like he's the only other person in the world. Gentaro looks at him like he's a man completely, utterly in love, and... well. He most definitely is. He moves his hands back up into Dice's hair, burying them in it like he's thought of doing so many times. ]

No. You're not dreaming at all, [ he says softly, before he leans in and kisses him. This time, it's more confident with a touch of heat behind it. ]

[Dice sees that look, and he knows he's never been looked at like that before, so it takes him precious seconds to figure out what its quiet, comfortable intensity really means. He doesn't quite register that it means love, adoration, an unspoken promise, but he gets close enough that once those fingers are in his hair all he can do is faintly melt forward, wrapping grateful arms around Gentaro.

Their lips meet, and he feels his world change in an instant. There's heat, there's affection, there's something Dice has tasted before but never owned, never named. And he kisses Gentaro back with fierce devotion, something he takes and runs with for a moment, before he realizes they're having a moment and he can't just go for broke. He may not know what restraint really looks like, so the moment isn't going to last peacefully forever. Eventually, he knows he'll break the spell. The difference is that, well, Gentaro knows him. He won't turn away from Dice's risk-taking or impulsiveness or brashness. He'll look at him with those same gorgeous eyes and Dice will feel a thrill just like he's feeling now, again and again.

He hopes.]

[ Dice could kiss him like this for as long as he wanted, and Gentaro would be an extremely happy man. He kisses him back, cups his cheek with his other hand, and cards his fingers through his hair again and again. Fate has never been particularly kind to Gentaro, but this-- this is something else entirely. He and Dice are so deeply intertwined that he can't imagine his life without him.

At that, his breath catches, and he kisses him a few moments more before he pulls back. Gentaro is quiet for a moment, two, and he touches his forehead to his. ]

... Would you like to go to my room, Dice?
